Google's "RankBrain" Artificial Intelligence: What Does It Mean for SEO!

Google announced yesterday that they were adding another layer to their already complicated ranking algorithm. This time, they were focusing on machine learning and are calling this update, "RankBrain" artificial intelligence confirmed by Bloomberg.

What Is RankBrain?

As per Google Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning "RankBrain is Google's name for a machine-learning artificial intelligence system that’s used to help process its search results, as was reported by Bloomberg and also confirmed to us by Google."

As per Microsoft Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence "We pursue research on automated reasoning, adaptation, and the theories and applications of decision making and learning. Our research goals include learning from data and data mining. By building software that automatically learns from data, we design applications that have new functions and flexibility. Our research focuses on using statistical methods for the development of more advanced, intelligent computer systems."

He also said this is considered the third most important signal Google uses in search. It is live worldwide now and has been for months. Gary Illyes from Google tweet it "was launched months ago," and it doesn't kill SEO, he said "your SEO magic still works" with it.
